Every young adult is sent to a special academy, given a score based on their body and their "breeding value," and ranked. Your rank decides the rest of your life. Reach the very top, and you - and one person you choose - get to walk away free and stay together. Land at the bottom, and you spend your life serving everyone above you, never allowed to have a family of your own. Love doesn't matter here. Only the breeding result matter.
